I grew up in a mountain area (the Giant Mountains in Poland, Karkonosze), where I spend most of my time visiting Poland.
Hi! I am Pawel Jelenski. Since 2002, I have been associated with non-governmental organisations, as well as with culture and art. In Poland, I have implemented own cultural projects, including 'Youth' (2006) and 'Youth in Action' (2009, 2013) programmes (EACEA by FRSE in Warsaw). I also volunteered in programmes such as PAUCI, Interreg IIIA, Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa, Leonardo da Vinci II and Service Civil International. Between 2012-2015 I taught in Polish schools, community centres and worked in the independent film industry.
I have lived in the UK since 2015 and have held British citizenship since 2022. From 2018 to 2021, I worked as a support teacher and SEN teaching assistant in primary schools. Since 2018 I have been running the Polish non-profit organisation Norfolk Polonia CIC, which helps Eastern Europeans in Norfolk. Since 2021, I have been a manager of West Earlham Community Centre in Norwich. I am involved in many local projects, including Britspeaks and Ukrainian HUB in Norwich. In addition to my community work, I pursue documentary filmmaking, acoustic music, graphics, painting, theatre and travelling.
I hold a master's degree in Education in Fine Arts from Pedagogical University of Krakow (Poland, 2012).
